  HOW TO ACCESS THE DATA IN THE WEBSITE? To access the data available on this website, please click an option on the menu at the top of the screen. You will find the data page you want from the listing along the left hand side of each page.  Use the “Home” link along the left hand column to return to this page from any page in the website.

 This website is intended to keep travelers and drivers informed about road and weather conditions around the state. In addition to providing atmospheric weather data, this website also contains information about pavement conditions such as pavement surface temperature, pavement surface freezing temperature and type of precipitation on the road surface.

 In addition to weather data, there are also camera images taken at several site locations around the state. These images allow you to view actual weather conditions present at the various camera station locations.

 Over time, VTrans will install more weather stations. When the RWIS system is fully deployed, it will consist of about 60 such stations located throughout the state.   These stations will not only help travelers, but also will assist the Agency’s maintenance crews to better plan for and treat roadway surfaces to prevent snow and ice buildup.

 Links are available throughout this website to access VTrans’ 511 Travel Information Website www.511vt.com.  In addition to this internet-based information, travel information is also available by dialing “511” directly from a phone if you are in Vermont, or from dialing 1-800-ICY ROAD from any phone outside of Vermont.
